Rolle, an international town

Rolle brims with medieval charm: its castle on the shore of Lake Geneva, opposite Ile de la Harpe. Surrounded by a vineyard, Rolle boasts several international schools.

Rolle’s medieval town stretches along Lake Geneva. Its castle, a 13th century fortress, houses the public library.

Ile de la Harpe protects the port. Built in the 19th century, it is dedicated to Frédéric-César de la Harpe, who was born in Rolle and who was Tsar Alexander the First's private tutor.

The southwest facing Féchy vineyard takes advantage of the stony ground and the sun-exposed slopes that enhance its wine. Féchy AOC is produced by 40 winegrowers covering vineyards of 178 hectares. The "Vine of the world" is a collection of 50 grape varieties from 13 different countries that grow at the foot of the Romanesque church in Féchy.

Cyclists can travel in every direction here, from the vineyards to the shore of Lake Geneva.

Rolle has several private international schools, namely Rosey where future undergraduates are prepared in bilingual school programmes.
