Tropiquarium
Tropical birds, exotic flowers and desert reptiles live in the Tropiquarium, a leisure park in Servion near Jorat.
A walk through the Tropiquarium offers a complete change of scene. Set against the landscape formed by the Jorat and its pine forests, over 100 species of tortoises, reptiles and tropical birds live there all year round. Crocodiles, penguin colonies, varanus, geckos, giant turtles and tropical birds can be admired in five buildings, aviaries and hothouses. The visit leads through the park via the vivarium housing giant turtles, the pavilion with the penguins and the hothouse with pink flamingos, where the birds sing without any fear.
A plant biotope with brightly coloured flowers, such as hibiscus, enhances the birds’ hothouse: pink flamingos, pelicans, ostriches or red ibis.
The Tropiquarium is accessible for wheelchairs as well as pushchairs. Its cafeteria proposes small dishes and a playground is at the kids' disposal.
