On the hills overlooking the Swiss Riviera, the Blonay-Chamby railway and museum takes its visitors on a journey through time every weekend from May to October. Guided by train enthusiasts, adults and children marvel at these truly historic trains.
Situated at the end of the Blonay-Chamby railway line, the museum of the same name has more than 60 trains on show in two big sheds and on the Chaulin site for visitors to admire.
A handful of dedicated volunteers take care of the maintenance and restoration of this important railway stock. In addition to the exhibition itself, the museum and its supporters try to share their knowledge of and passion for steam-related technologies with visitors, particularly the youngest among them.
Right next to the museum, with spectacular views of Lake Geneva, Le Grammont and the Dents-du-Midi, the Panoramique Café (open Saturday and Sunday from May to October) is the ideal place to refuel with cold food, various hot meals and a special kids menu.
