At the entrance to the village, the Château-d’Oex Snow Village is an enclosed area with all the facilities for budding skiers and their first experiences on the snow. In partnership with the “Bout’ficelle” crèche, the Swiss Ski School looks after the kids for the parents for the day.
In Château-d’Oex in the Vaudois Alps, children reign supreme. Firstly, thanks to the amazing “Kids up to 9 go free” deal – which offers free accommodation and lift passes for kids up to the age of 9 – but also thanks to the Snow Village. This area dedicated to learning to ski has artificial snow facilities and is a big favourite with youngsters who love the many games on offer, with Snowli the mascot. As for parents, they can be sure that their children are being well looked after by the professional instructors. To take care of the children while the adults hit the slopes, the Château-d’Oex Swiss Ski School organises “Fun Days”, in partnership with the “Bout’ficelle” crèche. Skiers aged 2 to 7 get a morning’s skiing, then they are taken to the crèche where they are given lunch and have an afternoon of play. Fun for the kids and practical for mums and dads!
